Summary
Public Lands Timber Export Act of 1979 - Prohibits the exportation or sale for exportation of unprocessed timber harvested from lands owned by the United States and located west of the one hundredth meridian. Prohibits the purchase of unprocessed timber from public lands as replacement for unprocessed timber exported or sold for export from tributary private lands. Sets forth measures to assure compliance with the terms of this Act.
