Delaware River Study Act of 1992

Summary

Amends the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate certain segments of the Delaware River in Pennsylvania and New Jersey as components of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. States that the designation of such segments made by this Act and any subsequent management or development plans to implement such designation related, associated with, or added to the Gilbert Generating Station or the Point Pleasant Pumping Station shall not be used in any proceeding to preclude, prevent, restrict, or interfere with their: (1) completion; (2) continued or changed operation; (3) maintenance; (4) repair; (5) construction; (6) reconstruction; (7) replacement; (8) modification; (9) licensing; (10) permitting; (11) relicensing; or (12) repermitting. Provides also that such designation and any subsequent management or development plans to implement it shall not be used in any proceeding to preclude, prevent, restrict, or interfere with the present or future access to, or operation, maintenance, repair, construction, reconstruction, replacement, or modification of electric or gas transmission or distribution lines across such segments, with specified exceptions. Designates a specified segment of the Delaware River and tributaries in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for study as a potential addition to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Directs the Secretary of the Interior to undertake a river conservation plan for a specified segment of the Delaware River in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Authorizes appropriations.
