Summary

Juvenile Handgun Safety Act of 1993 - Amends the Federal criminal code to prohibit: (1) the sale, delivery, or transfer to a juvenile of a handgun or ammunition that is suitable for use only in a handgun; and (2) the possession by a juvenile of a handgun or such ammunition. Makes exceptions with respect to a transfer to, or possession by, a juvenile: (1) for target practice, hunting, competition, or a course of instruction in the safe use of a handgun under adult supervision, under specified conditions; (2) if the transfer occurs with the permission of a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian of the juvenile; and (3) in accordance with State and local law. Sets penalties for violations of this Act.
