Summary

World Trade Center Worker and Contractor Protection Act of 2001 - Requires the United States Government, with respect to its response to the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001, to indemnify contractors and State and local governments against: (1) claims for death, personal injury, property losses; (2) loss of, damage to, or loss of use of contractor or government property; and (3) professional liability. Makes exceptions where the claim, loss, or damage is compensated for by insurance procured by a State or local government or is caused by willful misconduct or lack of good faith on the part of any of the contractor's principal officials. Establishes procedures for obtaining indemnification. Authorizes the Government to direct, control, or assist in settling or defending any claim or action that may involve indemnification.
