Summary
Social Security Sunshine Act - Amends part A (General Provisions) of title XI of the Social Security Act (SSA) to revise requirements for social security account statements to: (1) direct the Commissioner of Social Security to provide an annual social security account statement to each eligible individual for whom a mailing address can be determined (currently the Secretary of Health and Human Services is required to provide such a statement only upon the individual's request); and (2) require such statements to contain, in the case of an eligible individual receiving Old Age and Survivors Insurance benefits under SSA title II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance), an estimate of the total amount of benefits paid to such individual.
