Summary
Parks and Monuments Centennial Act of 1989 - Directs the Secretary of the Interior to appoint a Centennial Commission for each national park and national monument established less than 98 years before enactment of this Act. Requires each Commission to plan appropriate activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the park's or monument's establishment. Directs the Secretary to arrange for the preparation of a centennial history of each park and monument, including Yellowstone National Park and Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, California. Authorizes appropriations.
