Summary
Establishes the Wounded Knee Compensation Board in the Department of the Interior to compensate losses arising from the occupation of Wounded Knee, South Dakota between February 27, 1973, and May 8, 1973. Provides for the payment of compensation: (1) for personal injury and property damage; (2) to designated persons in cases where other persons have died; and (3) for anticipated loss of future earnings or loss of support of the victim for 90 days or more, or child care payments. Requires claims for compensation to be filed within six months of enactment of this Act. Establishes a fund in the Treasury for such compensation and authorizes the appropriation of $2,000,000 and other necessary sums to the fund.
