Summary

Truth in Political Advertising Act - Prohibits an individual from disseminating, or causing to be disseminated, any false political advertisement by U.S. mails or by any means in or having an effect on commerce. Directs the Federal Trade Commission to impose a civil monetary penalty. Sets forth a rule regarding certain media liability for the dissemination of any false political advertisement.
