Summary

Benefits Review Board Membership Act of 1983 - Amends the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act to revise provisions for membership and operations of the Benefits Review Board. Increases the number of Board members to five. Sets the terms of Board Members at six years, but provides for staggered terms for those five members first taking office after the enactment of this Act. Sets forth the numbers of Board members necessary for quorums and official actions under specified circumstances. Provides for petitions for rehearing by the entire Board.
