Summary
Amends Federal law to vest in the United States all right, title, and interest in and to, and the right to immediate possession of, the Gherini Ranch on Santa Cruz Island, California, except for certain rights of use and occupancy. Directs the United States to pay just compensation to the owners of such real property. Directs the Secretary of the Interior, in the absence of a negotiated settlement, or an action by the owner, to initiate a condemnation proceeding, seeking in a court of competent jurisdiction a determination of just compensation with respect to the taking of such real property.
