Summary
Bureau of Engraving and Printing Theft Deterrence Act of 2000 - Amends Federal criminal code requirements relating to embezzlement or theft of tools and materials for counterfeiting purposes to provide that the value of any paper, instrument, document, obligation, or security to have been produced shall be the greater of: (1) the face value or the intended face value of the paper, instrument, document, obligation, or security, without regard to the extent to which manufacture of the paper, instrument, document, obligation, or security has been completed; or (2) the amount obtained or offered for, or the value of, the paper, instrument, document, obligation, or security.
