Summary
Approves, with specified alteration, the certificate of incorporation of the Southeastern University of the District of Columbia. Vests management of such corporation in a board of trustees. Empowers the board to: (1) make, alter, and repeal bylaws, rules and regulations for the government of the university; (2) elect offices of the corporation; (3) appoint officers of the board; (4) remove any trustee; (5) establish additional schools within the university; (6) appoint professors, deans, and instructors as is necessary; (7) grant and confer degrees; (8) sue and be sued in its corporate name; and (9) acquire real, personal or mixed property or to convey the same. Requires all income to be held in the name of the corporation which is Southeastern University. Prohibits any other institution of learning within the District of Columbia from using the corporate name.
