Summary

Uniformed Services Former Spouses Benefits Act of 1992 - Directs the Secretary of the military department concerned to pay an annuity under the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) to the qualifying former spouse of a retired member of the armed forces who died before November 14, 1986, or from whom the qualifying former spouse was divorced before such date, and who: (1) at the time the member initially became eligible to participate in the SBP, was married to the former spouse but did not elect to participate; (2) was divorced from the former spouse after initially becoming eligible to participate in the SBP; and (3) died without a beneficiary under the SBP. Defines as a qualifying former spouse a former spouse who was married to such member for at least ten years during which the member performed creditable service for determining eligibility for retired pay.
