Summary
Comprehensive Voluntary Military Special Pay Act - Provides for officers of the Armed Forces to receive special pay for active duty for periods of more than thirty days in the amounts of $100 a month for those officers who have not completed two years of active duty in a category covered by this Act, and of $350 a month for those officers who have completed at least two years of such duty. Provides for special pay for officers while on sea duty of up to $75 a month. Provides for reenlistment incentives, upon a reenlistment or extension of at least three years, of up to $15,000 for members of the uniformed service who are designated as having a critical military skill. Provides for a special pay incentive for officers of the uniformed services in health professions who execute written agreements to remain on continuous active duty for a specified number of years in an amount not to exceed $12,000 for each year of the active duty agreement. Provides for special pay for participation in the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve of an armed force of up to $2,200 for a six-year enlistment or reenlistment for those possessing critical military skills.
