Summary
Calls for condemnation of actions of the City of Gretna Police Department, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, and the Crescent City Connection Division Police Department in Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina (preventing civilians fleeing New Orleans from entering Gretna). Makes the Gretna law enforcement agencies ineligible to participate in any federal program for one year. Requires: (1) the suspension of any federal license issued to those agencies during that time; and (2) such agencies to immediately return all federally-owned equipment in their possession or use.
