Summary
Federal Government Comparable Worth and Pay Equity Act of 1983 - Provides that the principle that equal pay should be provided for work of comparable worth shall apply in the Federal Government with respect to job classifications, Federal pay fixing for employees under statutory pay systems, prevailing rate determinations, and pay equity collective bargaining. Requires the Comptroller General to review and report to Congress on the efforts of the Office of Personnel Management to ensure pay equity in the Government pursuant to this Act.
