Summary

Prohibition on United States Government Liability for Nuclear Accidents in North Korea Act of 2000 - Amends the North Korea Threat Reduction Act of 1999 to prohibit the President and any Federal department, agency, or instrumentality, in supporting the provision of nuclear reactors to North Korea pursuant to the Agreed Framework, from entering into any international agreement, contract, or other arrangement, the purpose or effect of which is to impose liability on the U.S. Government, or otherwise require financial indemnity by it, for nuclear accidents that may occur at nuclear reactors provided to North Korea pursuant to the Agreed Framework. Exempts from this prohibition any treaty subject to approval by the Senate under the U.S. Constitution.
