Summary
Commercial Drivers Licenses for Veterans Act - Directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA) to establish a program of grants to states to assist veterans who received and completed training to drive large vehicles while serving in the Armed Forces obtain, upon their discharge or release from active-duty service, state commercial drivers licenses. Requires states, in order to be grant-eligible, to demonstrate a shortage of individuals with such licenses. Directs the Comptroller General to study and report to Congress on barriers experienced by such veterans in obtaining such licenses.
