Summary
AIDS Assault Act of 1988 - Amends the Federal criminal code to provide criminal penalties for any person who, under certain circumstances, engages in conduct knowing or having reason to believe that such conduct will infect another person with AIDS. Amends the Public Health Service Act to require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to promulgate regulations requiring entities which collect or distribute blood or blood components or derivatives, in order to receive a license under such Act, to permit directed and autologous blood donations.
