United States Trade Data Bank Act

Summary

United States Trade Data Bank Act - Title I: United States Trade Data Bank - Establishes within the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) the U.S. Trade Data Bank which shall serve as a clearinghouse for information on international economic and trade data. Directs the USTR to assess the information in the Trade Data Bank and consult with businesses and labor concerns regarding the structure and operation of the Trade Data Bank. Directs the USTR to provide: (1) a guide on exchange rates; and (2) comprehensive reports on the international competitiveness of individual U.S. industries. Requires the USTR to report annually to the Congress assessing the trade data and describing actions taken pursuant to this title. Title II: The Intragovernmental Council on Economic and Trade Data - Establishes the Intragovernmental Council on Economic and Trade Data which shall formulate and implement a comprehensive economic and trade data policy. Authorizes appropriations.
