Summary
Spark M. Matsunaga Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution Scholarship Act - Establishes the Spark M. Matsunaga Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution Scholarship Foundation as an independent establishment of the executive branch. Authorizes the Foundation to: (1) award undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships for study in the fields of peace studies and conflict resolution; and (2) make annual monetary awards to outstanding educators, teachers, and other individuals who have made significant contributions to advance secondary school and college instruction in the field. Establishes in the Treasury the Spark M. Matsunaga Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution Scholarship Fund. Authorizes appropriations. Amends the United States Institute of Peace Act to rename the United States Institute of Peace as the Spark M. Matsunaga United States Institute of Peace.
