Summary

Unemployment Health Services Act - Establishes a health services program for the unemployed. Provides that each State which, through its Governor, enters into an agreement with the Secretary of Labor shall receive payments to cover 100 percent of the costs of supplying health services to eligible unemployed persons, as determined by the State agency administering the program. Specifies the required content of such agreements, and the types of health services covered. Authorizes to be appropriated for any fiscal year ending prior to October 1, 1978, in which the seasonally adjusted national rate of unemployment published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the Department of Labor is equal to or exceeds 6 per cent for three consecutive months as determined by the Secretary, such sums as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
