Summary
Repeals the requirement for the reporting of certain import statistics 48 hours in advance of any other Government statistics concerning values of imports or trade balances. Requires the Director of the Census to report to the Senate Committee on Finance and the House Committee on Ways and Means on a study of the feasibility of developing and publishing a monthly index of the real volume of merchandise trade which would be reported simultaneously with the balance of merchandise trade for the United States.
