Summary

Pipeline Inspection Enforcement Act of 2014 - Directs the Secretary of Transportation (DOT) to require the person purchasing or operating a gas or hazardous liquid pipeline facility to inspect it to confirm the pipeline's status as active or abandoned. Directs the Secretary to require also, by regulation, that the regulatory authority responsible for inspections of the facility ensure that such an inspection is conducted. Applies this inspection requirement with respect to newly listed abandoned pipelines as well.
