Summary
Revises provisions regarding rates of basic pay for members of the National Zoological Park (NZP) police force. Directs the Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution to: (1) set the rates of such pay according to a specified schedule; (2) adjust the basic pay rates of NZP police force privates each year based on annual pay surveys to determine the rates of pay of police personnel in or around the District of Columbia with comparable duties and responsibilities; and (3) make any adjustments to pay for other positions within the NZP police force whenever rates of pay for privates are adjusted, as necessary to maintain appropriate pay differentials and relationships.
