Summary
Pacific Ocean Salmon Fishing Disaster Relief Act - Mandates a disaster payment to a commercial salmon fishing operation owned and operated by a U.S. citizen or national and operating out of California, Oregon, or Washington if the operation harvests during 1992 less than a specified percentage of the average annual harvest during 1986 through 1990. Requires adjustment of the determination of the actual harvest of an operation if the operation: (1) compensated for the reduced salmon harvest by harvesting other fish; or (2) failed to take reasonable methods to alleviate the economic hardship resulting from the imposition by the Pacific Fishery Management Council of a ban or restrictions on the harvest.
