Summary
Department of Justice Appropriations Authorization Act - Declares that it is the purpose of this Act to enable the Congress generally, and the Committees on the Judiciary of the Senate and the House of Representatives in particular, to carry out the purposes and intent of the Legislative Reorganization Acts of 1946 and 1970 with respect to: (1) the evaluation and execution of the laws relating to the Department of Justice and of its programs; and (2) providing annual authorizations of appropriations for that Department and for the programs and activities of the Federal Government carried out by that Department. Provides that no appropriation shall be made to the Department of Justice under any law for any fiscal year beginning on or after July 1, 1975, unless previously authorized by legislation enacted by the Congress after the date of enactment of this Act (Amends 28 U.S.C. 524).
