Summary

Authorizes, under the Higher Education Act, each member of the House of Representatives to hire one additional employee, to be known as a "cooperative education student", who shall be a student at an institution of higher education who is participating in a cooperative education program. Provides that each member shall have available for payment of such student a gross allowance of $6,000 per annum a the gross rate of $500 per month. States that this Act shall effect on September 1, 1976.
