Summary
Car Find Act of 1996 (sic) - Amends the Anti Car Theft Act of 1992 to direct the Attorney General to: (1) establish and publicize a toll-free telephone number for reporting stolen and abandoned vehicles; and (2) use such number to assist Federal, State, and local law enforcement officials, insurance carriers, and other appropriate persons. Authorizes the Attorney General to collect fees from insurance carriers and other appropriate persons to offset the costs of establishing and maintaining such number. Authorizes appropriations.
