Summary

Classifies all positions involving law enforcement responsibilities pertaining to care of jurors, serving writs and warrants issued by Federal courts, tracing and arresting persons under court warrants, and maintaining order in the courtroom as deputy United States marshals. Requires such position to be classified at GS-5 through GS-11 if such positions are non-supervisory or non-specialist and GS-12 through GS-14 if supervisory or specialist. Requires those marshals eligible for a high grade under this Act to be promoted to the applicable grade upon the enactment of this Act.
