Summary

Federal Officials Protection Act of 1984 - Amends the Federal criminal code with respect to attacks upon U.S. officers and employees. Expands the scope of prohibited acts to include retaliation against an officer on account of his official duties. Increases the fine to $250,000 if bodily injury occurs or if it was likely to occur. Provides for a fine of $100,000 or imprisonment for not more than one year in any other case. Applies the current penalties for homicide if the officer is killed. Includes immediate family members within the scope of such protection. Makes it a Federal offense to impede or interfere with the performance of an officer's duties by communicating threats. Provides for a fine of not more than $100,000 or imprisonment of not more than one year.
