Summary

State Prisoner Work and Rehabilitation Act of 1992 - Authorizes the Director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance to designate not more than seven State or local prison systems to conduct pilot projects to test the feasibility of providing increased employment for State and local prisoners by producing items, in conjunction with U.S. firms, that would otherwise be produced by foreign labor. Exempts such projects from specified statutory requirements. Sets forth reporting requirements.
