Summary
Homestead Act of 1983 - Permits any U.S. citizen satisfying specified requirements to acquire up to 160 acres of public lands administered through the Bureau of Land Management. Sets forth the requirements for acquisition, including the intent to establish a primary residence upon such land and to use it for productive purposes. Directs the Secretary of the Interior to convey title three years after an applicant has established permanent residence.
