Summary
Volunteers' Tax Incentive Act - Allows a tax deduction under the Internal Revenue Code equal to the number of hours of volunteer service multiplied by $2.00, to a maximum of $2,000 for individuals performing volunteer public service having a particular importance to the welfare of the community. Limits the tax deduction to work performed for Federal, State, or local governmental organizations. Requires documentation of the work by the agency for which it was performed. (Amends 26 U.S.C. 218)
