Summary
Rail Emergency Employment Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Transportation to provide financial assistance to common carriers engaged in transportation by railroad for wages of persons employed to maintain and improve their right-of-way structures. Directs that such funds will not be provided for programs which will result in the displacement of currently employed workers. Authorizes the appropriation of $250,000,000 to carry out the provisions of this Act.
