Summary
Authorizes the city of Chester, Illinois, to reconstruct, repair, or improve an existing toll bridge across the Mississippi River at or near such city. Authorizes the city to refund the outstanding bonds of an issue of revenue bonds previously issued for such reconstruction and to acquire property as necessary. Authorizes the city to charge tolls for transit over such bridge, for a period not to exceed ten years, to: (1) provide a fund sufficient to pay the cost of maintaining, repairing, and operating such bridge; and (2) provide a sinking fund sufficient to amortize the cost of such bridge, the cost of refunding outstanding bonds, and financing costs.
