Summary

Permits the Secretary of the Army to select up to 40 (formerly 20) persons from foreign countries (formerly limited to Canada and the American Republics) to receive instruction at the U.S. Military Academy. Requires such countries to reimburse the United States for costs incurred unless waived by the Secretary of Defense. Subjects such students to the same regulations as govern the other cadets. Permits the Secretary to limit their access to classified information and place other restrictions on such students. Permits the Secretaries of the Navy and the Air Force to select persons from foreign countries for instruction at the Naval and Air Force Academies, respectively, under the same terms and conditions required for foreign appointments to the U.S. Military Academy.
