Summary
Requires the Civil Service Commission to furnish to each retired State or local law enforcement officer supplemental retirement benefits equal to 25 percent of qualifying State and local retirement benefits, provided application is made to the Commission within 5 years after the date of retirement. Prohibits a State or political subdivision from reducing benefits otherwise due such officer. Sets forth definitions for purposes of this Act. (Amends 5 U.S.C. 8361-63)
