Summary

Authorizes the acquisition and installation of works of art in public buildings, if the Administrator of General Services: (1) determines that a project for construction or repair of a public building shall include such works; (2) solicits proposals for creation of such works from the American artistic community; and (3) submits suitable proposals to a selection panel to select the proposal for a particular project. Directs the Administrator to establish a selection panel for each project. Permits the Administrator to solicit additional proposals if the selection panel is unable to select any proposal. Limits the cost of acquisition and installation of works of art to no more than one-half of one percent of the total cost of the project.
