Summary
Requires each individual employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as a vocational rehabilitation counselor to: (1) have completed a masters degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling before such employment; (2) obtain certification within five years after obtaining such employment; and (3) maintain such certification as a condition of continued employment. Requires each individual employed as a vocational rehabilitation employment coordinator to: (1) have completed a bachelors degree in the relevant field before such employment; (2) obtain certification within five years after obtaining such employment; and (3) maintain such certification as a condition of continued employment. Requires the Director of the VA's Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Service to develop a remediation plan for a counselor or coordinator who fails to meet any applicable condition and which the counselor or coordinator must complete in order to continue employment.
