Summary

This bill directs the Department of Justice to establish the Office of Non-Lethal Technologies and Techniques to coordinate, develop, and refine non-lethal technologies and techniques. It authorizes the office to award matching grants to state and local law enforcement agencies to purchase non-lethal force technologies and to promote and train officers in the use of non-lethal technologies, strategies, and techniques. The General Services Administration must identify savings to offset the cost of the grant program.
