Summary

Genetic Information Protection Act of 1992 - Prohibits employers from using genetic information in a personnel action concerning an employee or prospective employee. Sets forth enforcement provisions, including civil penalties assessed by the Secretary of Labor, injunctive relief, and private civil actions. Directs the Secretary to promulgate regulations to carry out this Act. Defines employer as any: (1) private employer involved in or affecting interstate commerce; (2) corporation wholly owned by the United States; and (3) branch of the Federal Government.
