Summary

Passenger Motor Vehicle Fuel Economy Act - Imposes a temporary excise tax under the Internal Revenue Code on passenger motor vehicles with a horsepower rating of over 200. Prohibits, under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, the manufacture of passenger motor vehicles after five years after the date of enactment of this Act which do not comply with specified limitations with respect to weight, fuel economy, and horsepower.
