Summary

Provides for the construction operation, and maintenance by the Secretary of the Interior of the Nueces River project, Texas, consisting of the Choke Canyon Dam and Reservoir on the Frio River and public outdoor recreation and sport fishing facilities. Authorizes the Secretary, upon completion of construction of the project, to transfer to a qualified contracting entity the running of the project works, and obligates the entity to operate the works in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of the Interior with respect to fish and wildlife and recreation. Authorizes to be appropriated for construction of the Nueces River reclamation project $49,600,000 (July 1971 prices).
