Summary
Research Fairness Act of 2012 - Amends the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to extend certain employee exemptions from minimum wage and maximum hour requirements to marketing research participants and mystery shoppers. Defines "mystery shopper" as any individual meeting certain requirements who is engaged to measure or evaluate a customer's experience, or some aspect of it, either at a defined location, or while using or purporting to use a specified product or service.
