Summary
Arson Prevention Act of 1992 - Amends the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 to direct the Administrator of the United States Fire Administration, through the Office of Fire Prevention and Arson Control of the United States Fire Administration, to carry out a program to provide two-year grants to States for programs relating to arson research, prevention, and control. Sets forth State funding requirements and provides for additional two-year renewal periods for such grants. Authorizes appropriations. Prohibits the Administrator from entering into any contract for the administration of the grants program. Authorizes appropriations for the expansion of arson investigator training programs at the National Fire Academy.
