Summary
Provides that any motor vehicle employed solely in transporting schoolchildren and teachers which is not exempted by this Act shall be deemed to be a common carrier subject to the provisions of this paragraph relating to qualifications and maximum hours of service of employees, and safety of operation and equipment. Requires the Commission to enforce with respect to owners and operators of motor vehicles employed solely in transporting schoolchildren and teachers, standards promulgated by the Secretary of Transportation which relate to motor vehicles employed solely in transporting schoolchildren and teachers, and (2) are not inconsistent, as determined by the Commission, with any similar standard promulgated.
