Summary
Productivity Improvement Act of 1980 - Establishes the National Productivity Council which shall: (1) develop and annually revise a National Productivity Improvement Plan; (2) perform economic analyses of the impact on productivity growth of Federal policies and programs; (3) make legislative and regulatory recommendations to the President, Congress, and Federal agencies concerning ways to improve productivity in the private sector; (4) promote the work of organizations involved in encouraging productivity growth; (5) represent the United States in contacts with foreign productivity organizations; and (6) monitor activities designed to improve productivity in other countries. Directs the Council to transmit a current version of the Plan to Congress and the President, annually. Establishes a National Productivity Council Advisory Board. Authorizes appropriations to carry out this Act.
