Summary

Amends the Indochina Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1975 to extend for two-years assistance for: (1) refugees from Cambodia, Vietnam, or Laos; (2) State and local public agencies providing assistance for such aliens; (3) transportation to and resettlement in, other areas of the United States; and (4) employment assistance rendered to such aliens. Makes such assistance available after 1979 only for such refugees who are under 18 years of age. Requires the President to submit a report to specified Committees of Congress on the status of such refugees at regular intervals until the first day on which no alien is any longer eligible for assistance under this Act.
