Summary
This bill requires the Department of State to notify Congress when an entity receiving U.S.-provided funds enters into an agreement with the Taliban (the group controlling the government of Afghanistan). The State Department shall submit a report to Congress on the total amount and types of payments provided by such entities to the Taliban. The State Department shall also submit a report that includes a copy of each agreement between such entities and the Taliban between August 31, 2021, and the date of enactment.
